Olympic Wings school & flying center paragliding equipment is modern, continuously checked and EN certified for paragliding following the latest designs and materials.
For this course our tandem pilot students can train on request with a complete set of reliable tandem paragliding equipment!
International license
Olympic Wings is affiliated to APPI and offers paragliding courses which follow the APPI education system.
- The non commercial tandem pilot course is typically of 12-day duration and after further tandem flying training allows to qualify for the level APPI Non-Commercial Tandem Pilot.
Insurance
Activity Insurance
All our instructors and tandem pilots have a third part liability insurance for the paragliding activity.
Personal Insurance
Our students can register for a personal accident insurance on request.
Tour operator insurance
As a tour operator Olympic Wings has the necessary coverage according to Greek and European Law for all travel services – accommodation and transfers – offered and booked through our customers.
Organization
The course is offered and organized by Olympic Wings Paragliding School & Center
- with constant and multiple operation as a paragliding professional since 1995 worldwide recognized
- specialists for paragliding holidays, beginner & performance courses, special seminars and leisure & training tandem paragliding.
We organize and book for you all necessary travel services – your accommodation and all transfers – as needed accordingly with the course.
Those who are interested for specific dates and/or private lessons are welcome to place their request.
Location
Olympus with its highest peak Mytikas 2.918 m is the highest mountain range in Greece and the famous home of the Greek Gods. It is located directly next to the Aegean Sea with its long coast lines and sandy beaches.
Our flying area with more than 15 take off’s covers the three mountains Pieria, Olympus and Kissavos that form a longer range parallel to the sea separated by impressive valleys.
These mountains protect our area throughout the year from strong meteorological winds so developing their own local wind systems which we use for flying.
The many different flying sites offer particularly great training experience as they present for pilots each their own diverse flying conditions.
